Plusieurs avant projets d&#8217;un grand d\u00e9p\u00f4t (avec atelier d&#8217;entretien pour une 60 aine de trams) sur le plateau du Heysel ont \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9alis\u00e9s par la STIB. La majorit\u00e9  de ces projets a essuy\u00e9 le refus de Bruxelles Expo (Ville de Bruxelles) de ceder des emplacements de parking. Un autre projet a \u00e9t\u00e9 recal\u00e9 par Urban car trop impactant. Les trams \u00e9tant command\u00e9s, la STIB a un besoin urgent de nouveaux d\u00e9p\u00f4ts, m\u00eame temporaire (comme sur le site Sobiesky-Heyselbeek) . La cr\u00e9ation de 10 voies. La cr\u00e9ation d&#8217;un local technique pour le personnel ( container ). Ce projet aura un impact visuel majeur sur le paysage de la promenade verte (il est aussi pr\u00e9vu d&#8217;\u00e9clairer le site), sur la biodiversit\u00e9 (et son maillage)  et sur la gestion des eaux sans apporter de r\u00e9elle r\u00e9ponse au besoin de la STIB d&#8217;un grand d\u00e9pot dans le nord ouest de Bruxelles.
